They are cloud-based, and you need a Microsoft log-in such as a free mail account. For maintaining your bank account registers, you can find a variety of spreadsheet template files for LibreOffice Calc and Microsoft Excel on the Internet. If you are looking for an app only to track your checking and savings accounts, you will probably find the applications in this roundup a bit too advanced. This software roundup includes only free, open source products. The lines have been blurring between open source products and Linux packages with free trial periods or reduced features unless you pay to upgrade. Just because an application runs on Linux does not mean it is free to use. One development with the growing catalog of money management software for Linux users is the cost factor. At a bare minimum, they will help you become more aware of where your money goes. These Linux apps are tools to handle your budget, track your investments, and better organize your record-keeping. In a change of pace from the usual Linux distro reviews, Linux Picks and Pans presents a roundup of the best financial apps that make the Linux OS a treasure trove for your financial needs. However, Linux users now have a few more very noteworthy choices to chart their personal and small business financial activities. Those Linux staples are still top of the class today. In terms of features and performance, they were as good as or better than the well-known Microsoft Windows equivalents - MSMoney and Quicken. In fact, depending on the Linux distro you fancied, those four packages often comprised the entire financial software lot. The best of the Linux lot were GnuCash, HomeBank, KMyMoney and Skrooge. Often, the only recourse was to use Microsoft Windows-based applications that ran under WINE. Back then, the pickings were mighty slim. Not quite 10 years ago, I scoured Linux repositories in a quest for replacement applications for popular Microsoft Windows tools. Today’s Linux platform accommodates a number of really good financial applications that are more than capable of handling both personal and small-business accounting operations. You can even import Google Docs into WordPress. Google Docs and Google Sheets pretty much speak for themselves and again are tools we use every single day. The paid version of Google Drive gives you twice the storage of your free personal drive and Gmail, 24/7 support, sharing controls, and advanced reporting. This means you can easily find what you’re looking for, no matter how disorganized you are. □ Google Drive search If you haven’t used Google Drive before, one of the best things we like about it is the amazing search functionality! Although, it’s probably not too surprising seeing as they also run the largest search engine in the world. Did you know that you can search based on the content within a document (regardless of the file name)? Pretty handy. Note: If you’re a smaller team with fewer than 5 users, you only get 1TB/user. Google Workspace’s Business, Enterprise, and Teams editions provide unlimited storage so you will always have enough space for your files. Google Workspace Basic plans come with 30GB of storage for every employee. You then have easy access to them from any device. Google Drive allows you to store, access, and share your files in one secure place. Having all your employees attached to the same organization makes tasks like these even easier when compared to the free version. For example, you might want a group calendar for events like team holidays and regular meetings. One of the great things about using Google Calendar in Google Workspace is the ability to create multiple calendars that are accessible to everyone in your company (or even a subset of users). Google Calendar can help you keep your schedule organized. Many of us rely on it for scheduling calls with clients and setting due dates and reminders for important projects. None of us here at Kinsta could live without Google Calendar. But once you start hiring two or three employees, you’ll find yourself needing accounts that can be managed separately. A very small business with one or two users might be able to get away with free Gmail accounts and some alias+forwarding rules. Google Workspace essentially allows your employees to have their own Gmail accounts with email addresses with your business domain name (example: ). Optimize your admin tasks and budget with $275+ enterprise-level features included free in all WordPress plans. One of the best things about Google Workspace is you basically get an enhanced ad-free version of the online email client you’re probably already using. It’s no surprise as Gmail has been around since 2004 and now boasts over 1.2 billion users. Here’s what it includes: GmailĪccording to Litmus, Gmail leads the way as the most popular email client, with a whopping 26% of the market share based on open rates. For many of you, the basic plan is probably all you’ll ever need. We utilize the Basic Google Workspace plan for our employees here at Kinsta. Google Workspace has three different plans you can use (of which we’ll dive into a little later on). In fact, you’re probably already using or are familiar with some of them. It also includes a variety of apps and features that can come in quite handy. However, Google Workspace is much more than just email. We primarily recommend Google Workspace for clients that are needing email hosting for their business. This was formerly known as Google Apps, till it was re-branded in late 2016. Google Workspace is Google’s suite of intelligent apps. Unparalleled Benefits of Google Workspace. It's a vocation rather than a game, but as the saying goes: if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. Flashes of godlike genius interspersed with periods of mysterious mediocrity. But without appropriate management, it's Gareth Bale. AUSTIN, TX The University of Texas softball program will conclude its 2023 regular season with a three-game Big 12 Conference series against Baylor University beginning on Friday, May 5 at 6 PM CT. If it were a player, it would be world-class, the kind of signing that excites the dourest of fan. No big new signings, but there's already a star in every position and some real talent coming out of the youth team, if you're patient. If it were a team, Football Manager 2022 would be Liverpool. With more options in competition complexity and budget, and improvements to the draft itself, there’s never been a better time to share out the humiliation of failure. If you want to share such misery, there’s the fantasy draft system allowing you to take that fantasy football league with your mates to another, professional level. I started biting my nails, something I only do watching live games. You can apparently influence journos, I just didn't have much luck doing it. Normally I block that out, but here I was looking at my inbox, about to be interviewed by a journo who had developed inexplicable hatred of my positivity, that no sudden nastiness on my part could assuage and I just upset the rest of the press corps. I did notice that my team had 19 points after 15 games, precisely what the real thing had accrued in the same time, and I suffered the same ennui-that crawling sense of dread and misery, that, yet again, the season was coming to nothing. Somewhere in the layers of data, scattergrams, radar flowers and bar charts was the answer, but I had to accept that while the game was deep and smart, I just wasn't. You want to be Ted Lasso, but you'll find yourself swiftly corralled into being Alex Ferguson by events and dialogue trees that are out of your control.Ī season into the game and my team played out of its skin one week, and sank into themselves the next, my job saved only by the club's low expectations. I promised he'd get a new contract next season, but he had a big strop out anyway, making trouble in the dressing room. A player complained that he hadn't been offered a new contract, but there was no option to tell him that the club's finances meant I couldn't offer him anything even though I wanted to. I congratulated the dressing room on a decent performance, and they were all instantly demotivated. The illusion breaks down elsewhere, mostly when interacting with the players. The fans moaned on the social media feed, but haters gonna hate. Executing that piece of business was like three points away to the league-leaders. I tried to get good money for a player running down his contract, knowing he'd be upset if I got in his way, and yet lining up a replacement that I could only afford once the wantaway left-back had been sold. The most basic option gives you 20,000+ players who can be scouted and refuse your offers, and deadline day is edge-of-the-seat stuff. Relatively quiet animals (the hens are, at least), they produce highly sought-after products-eggs, meat and more chickens-and are becoming increasingly legal in many cities. Here are six animals suited for city life: Maybe you’ll find one that could provide you a little extra income, fertility and, let’s be honest, entertainment.Ĭhickens are the most obvious and most popular choice for the urban farmer. Space is a factor, and in many areas, there are restrictions on what kinds and how many animals you can have. Of course, as an urban farmer, your animal options may be limited. They set the pace of the day, and they provide rhythm, activity, manure and (hopefully) income. Other smaller animals for beginners might include raising turkeys, pigs, or ducks.Perhaps nothing makes a farm feel more like a farm than animals. Unlike some smaller animals, goats will require more green space and very strong fencing to ensure that they cannot escape. Goats are known for their silly and amusing antics.

Well theoretically you could also just use a tool that continously sends skill requests to the server, but I guess that's not allowed.Įdited by Ryokosha, 03 December 2014 - 12:34 AM. I honestly doubt that Gravity will ever do that, though. The ping command sends packets of data to a specific IP address on a network, and then lets you know how long it took to transmit that data and get a response. The only way to fix this would be to implement skill buffering server-sided rather than client-sided. UUID spoofing is not a bug in the server software or protocol. This means that only the Bungeecord server can access those servers, and noone outside the network. One of the ways to protect your server from UUID spoofing, is by hosting all sub servers locally. In this case you can't even use 2 Double Strafes per second. SkillClient CheatMine Dymeth Client Liquid Bounce Prevention. For auto-attack ping doesn't matter but if you want to spam skills like Double Strafe then it certainly does. In terms of layering, I often paired it with a short-sleeve baselayer, and sported the jacket as an outer layer for descending just as often as I did for climbing-a true testament to its temperature-regulating ability and breathability (more on that below). If anything, I found that the Ascendant ran a little on the warm side during aerobic activities. Despite its plush, toy-like appearance, the Polartec Alpha Direct synthetic insulation worked great. While I expected this weight-saving decision to impact warmth, that wasn’t the case. The Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody, unlike many other active insulation pieces, has only two layers: an outer shell and inner insulation. To see how the Ascendant stacks up, see our articles on the best synthetic jackets and best midlayers. Below we break down the Ascendant’s warmth, breathability, water resistance, weight and packability, fit and sizing, and more. We have mixed feelings about its exposed insulation, which results in a fuzzy, somewhat unkempt appearance, but the Ascendant proved itself to be a solid active insulation choice for high-output activities. As an active midlayer with great mobility, it can be your go-to jacket for everything from backcountry skiing and climbing to hanging out by the fire after a day in the mountains. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.Piggybacking off the popularity of their functional Uberlayer jacket, Outdoor Research introduced the Ascendant as a lighter and more breathable option. Outdoor Research has another big thumbs up in my books! Kudos!įull Disclosure: I was given the Uberlayer jacket to test and review as part of Outdoor Research's #ORInsightLab team. In the backcountry, skiing speeds are generally slower so this wouldn't be an issue.īest uses: Winter hiking, snowshoeing, mountaineering, alpine touring, etc. Normally I would still be warm from the ascent, so it wouldn't matter but if there were high winds I might put on a shell. When ski touring training at resorts, I felt the cold wind fly through the fabric while descending groomers at fast speeds. My family members, who hunt, salivated over the possible applications this Polartec Alpha fabric could have for hunting, when there are also many periods of movement followed by long stationary periods. You can see the excessive fabric in some of the photos below. I prefer a more streamlined fit for technical garments. I felt the excess fabric in those areas was baggy and unnecessary. Uber-terrific!Ĭons : Weight could be reduced by tapering the shape around the forearms and waist. It has revolutionized winter wear for me. Its ability to thermoregulate sets it apart from any other jacket I own and I can't stop talking about this jacket. I also find myself wearing this jacket as a midlayer for downhill resort skiing, and around town casual in addition to its backcountry applications. The chest pocket fit my iPhone perfectly, and the fleece handpockets are very cozy. I enjoyed the wired brim in the hood, giving it a bit more structure than a regular hood. So far the fabric has been able to withstand abuse from bushwhacking and abrasion. It worked well in windy mountain enviroments, but I wouldn't forego packing my windshell altogether. The jacket worked well in mixed precipitation and I was never wet from snow or rain. I found that polypropelene or polyester baselayers worked better than merino wool in all conditions. In any temperature, I found that I only needed ONE baselayer underneath the Uberlayer for it to work optimally, even in warm +3C/35F and in cold -16C/3.2F temperatures. I also save weight in my pack from having to pack multiple layers that are now unnecessary with the Uberlayer. On solo missions, I know that I save time and energy without having to stop to delayer or add layers throughout the day. My friends that I was with on the same day were adjusting layers, zipping and venting all day while I wore the Uberlayer. On a summit I never had to add a down jacket while eating lunch and didn't need to even change my gloves as my hands were warm because my core was warm. I never de-layered or unzipped ascending and never added a layer descending. The jacket would heat up when moving (but not too hot) and then cool down when stationary (but not chilled). Instead, it keeps you in a middle state of warm and comfortable. It prevents you from getting into the two extreme states in winter adventuring: 1) hot and sweaty and then 2) cold and chilled. Pros : This jacket is amazing! It does what it claims. Infact samurai with 2, 3, 4 overlapping grids are also fairly common, and occasionally one sees even larger puzzles published: perhaps with 10, 11 or even more overlapping grids!Īlso the overlap pattern can vary: as mentioned often grids simply share one box region, but they can share a lot more, and there are some types of samurai puzzles where the overlap is very extreme, such as the star sudoku - see the article on that particular puzzle for more information. Samurai sudoku puzzles typically have 5 overlapping grids, but this need not be the case. Typically with a samurai sudoku, grids will share a 3x3 box region, and it is often here that most fruit can be found - in terms of placements that can be made - as the cells are in regions in multiple puzzles and therefore their values may be restricted quite early on in the solve process by the values in the two shared grids. Indeed a samurai sudoku puzzle is sure to take longer to solve than a standard sudoku, but the process and rules are exactly the same, there are just a higher number of regions and there are other overlaps to consider. Samurai sudoku may appear a more daunting challenge than standard sudoku because the grid is much larger and there are many more numbers to place. The aim with samurai sudoku is to place the numbers from 1 - n exactly once in each region in each puzzle grid.Īs standard, a samurai puzzle contains 5 overlapping grids making an 'X' shape, and so the numbers are 1 - 9 to be placed once in each row, column, 3x3 box. It is, however, not seen massively often in print simply because it requires more space. Samurai Sudoku is one of the most common sudoku variants. |
